Pakistan Cricket Board announced the pick order and held live coverage for the PSL Draft pick 2025 on Monday, 13 January, at Huzoori Bagh, Lahore Fort in Lahore. The PSL draft event will be live broadcasting at 12:30 pm (PKT). The Pakistan Super League 2025 is scheduled to take place at the same time as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wanted to schedule the HBL PSL 10 event in its original window in Feb 2025. However, PSL 10 will start from 8 April to 19 May 2025 due to the upcoming ICC Champion Trophy 2025. The PSL teams have already announced their retained players list after trades in chosen categories. The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin in April 2025. In the first round of the Platinium category, Multan Sultan will kick off proceedings, followed by Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, and Peshawar Zalmi. After that, Quetta Gladiators will have a chance to make another pick.
In the second round of the platinum category, picks will begin with Lahore Qalandars, followed by Islamabad United and Karachi Kings, who will benefit from back-to-back selections. The HBL PSL 2025 Trophy Tour, planned for March, will now include Gwadar city as a prominent stop on its journey across the country.
PSL Draft System
The PSL draft system allows franchises to choose players in six categories via the draft. Each franchise can choose a maximum of four local and four overseas players to complete its squad of a maximum of 16 to 20 players. In contrast, players are chosen via auction in the IPL.

The PSL 10 draft takes place in December every year, and the PCB announced the date for Jan 11 and rescheduled and confirmed officially January 13, 2025, for the HBL PSL 10 draft pick date. Before the draft, the Pakistan Cricket Board gave some time. It allowed all six franchises to use relegation requests so that all franchise owners could easily decide which player wanted to stay with the team for the upcoming season.
