The Pakistan Super League 2025 is scheduled to take place at the same time as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wanted to schedule the PSL event in its original window in Feb 2025 due to the upcoming ICC Champion Trophy 2025. The teams already announced their retained players list after trades in chosen categories. The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin in February 2025. In the first round of the Platinium category, Multan Sultan will kick off proceedings, followed by Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, and Peshawar Zalmi. After that, Quetta Gladiators will have a chance to make another pick.
In the second round of the platinum category, picks will begin with Lahore Qalandars, followed by Islamabad United and Karachi Kings, who will benefit from back-to-back selections. PSL Draft System
The PSL draft system allows franchises to choose players in six categories via the draft. Each franchise can choose a maximum of four local and four overseas players to complete its squad of a maximum of 16 to 20 players. In contrast, players are chosen via auction in the IPL.

The PSL draft takes place in December every year, and we are expecting PCB to announce the draft pick date soon, in the mid- or third week of December 2024. Before the draft, the Pakistan Cricket Board gave some time and allowed all six franchises to make use of relegation requests so that all franchise owners could easily decide which player wanted to stay with the team for the upcoming season.
