Fast forward to PSL 2016, where the first five teams found new owners. In PSL 2016 five teams were sold for a total sum of 93 million dollars approximately. In the PSL 2017 action, Multan Sultan was like the new kid on the block, and the PCB asked for bids to see who’d take it under their wing. Schon Properties snagged it first for around $5.2 million, making it the priciest team in PSL at the time. But hold on, there were some payment hiccups, and the organizers had to reset the button. Round two: Multan Sultan was up for grabs again, and this time, Ali Khan Tareen swooped in and secured it for $6.35 million, signing on for a seven-year cricket journey.

They did it again in the third season, bagging their second title by defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the final.
