Multan Sultan is a high-priced team in the Pakistan Super League. after contract cancellation in 2017 Multan Sultan Sold to Ali Khan Tareen (Son of A well-known politician  Jahangir Khan Tareen) and Taimoor Malik, who get the rights of the team on 20 December 2018 for US$6.2 million.

Ali Khan Tareen and Taimoor Malik become the new owners of Multan Sultans in 2018. After assimilating the result from the user opinion polls they decided to restore the name of the team as same.
