Pakistan Super League is one of the best T20 league in cricket history. We will share the PSL winners and runners full list from the start to 2023. Pakistan Super League was established in 2015 by the Pakistan Cricket Board with 5 teams, and then Multan Sultan was added additionally as a 6th Team of PSL. In the PSL league structure, different investors own the teams and run them being a part of one big group. Pakistan would always be a good idea, and PCB shared the vision. The first-ever PSL was played in 2015-2016. Most of the matches were played in 2016, so we will consider PSL 2016 to be the first edition of PSL.

PSL 2023 Winner
Lahore Qalandars was the winner of PSL 2023 season 8. Lahore became the first team to defend the PSL title, and their skipper also became the first to win 2 PSL titles in a row. It was a hell of a match when Qalandars took the PSL trophy from Multan Sultans. Qalandras is at the top of the list regarding PSL Winners and runners full list.
Qalandars won by only one run. Zaman was the bowler and the Sultans needed 13 runs in the last over. In the last ball, Multan Sultans needed 4 runs, and Khushdil was the opponent. Zaman was under pressure and bowled the yorker but Khushdil played and Zaman Khan saved the runs for his team. It was a fantastic match full of twists and turns. No one knew who would lift the trophy until the last ball.

PSL 2022 Winner
Lahore Qalandars finally won their first PSL title in 2022. After years of misery, they finally got back at the haters who wanted the team out of PSL. In the final match, the Qalandars faced the defending champion, Multan Sultans. The Qalandars completely dominated the game. Lahore Qalandars bat first scored 180 runs. In the bowling session, Qalandars played well and out all the team on 138 runs. Qlanadars was the 7th winner of PSL 2022.
Let’s talk about the batting lineup, Fakhar Zaman was the top Scorer for Lahore Qalandars with an average score of 45 runs and a strike rate was above 150. Among the bowlers were Shah Nawaz Dahani and Khushdil Shah.

PSL 2021 Winner
Led by half-centuries by Rilee Rossouw and Shoaib Maqsood and followed by Imran Tahir’s triple strike, which triggered Peshawar Zalmi’s collapse in the chase. Multan Sultans secured 47 runs and won the 6th edition of the tournament in 2021. The match was played in Abu Dhabi, and the Sultans were in no mood to chill. Shoaib Maqsood scored quickly, and people compared him with Inzamam Ul Haq since he was also from Sultans.
As openers of the Sultans, Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Maqsood laid a strong foundation with 68 runs in 52 balls. Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Sohaib were the batters that had the most impact on the Sultans. Among the bowlers, Shah Nawaz Dhani was the season’s top wicket-taker. Dhani has been rising as a start cricketer since his performance in PSL 6.

PSL 2020 Winner
One of the tournament’s best teams, Karachi Kings, finally won the PSL title they deserved. We witnessed that the final match of this PSL was very famous. Karachi faced off against the Qalandars at their home ground at National Stadium Karachi. Babar Azam was the player who made it happen for Karachi Kings. He scored a quick 63 on 49 balls and also caught 2 catches. Before the PSL 5, everyone was stuck at home and there was no open environment for entertainment due to the global pandemic, after the long break fans enjoyed a lot in this season.

PSL 2019 Winner
Quetta Gladiators won their first PSL title in 2019, which was special. After winning, the team toured Quetta and exhibited the PSL trophy to common people. The opponent was Peshawar Zalmi. They were 2nd time in the PSL final, but they lost it. Shane Watson was the man who did it for Gladiators. He was the top player and top runs scorer of the HBL PSL season 2019, and you can’t forget the lots of wicket taking performances of Nawaz, Sohail Tanvir, and Muhammad Hasnain.

Islamabad United won the PSL title for 2nd time in 2018 against defending champion Peshawar Zalmi. Luke Ronchi and Sahibzada Farhan played a superb inning of 52 and 44 runs, respectively. The man was Asif Ali, who scored a quick 26 in just 6 balls and chased in 16.5 overs. Shadab Khan took 3 wickets among the bowlers, and Hussain Talat and Samit Patel got 2. PSL 2017 Winner
Peshawar Zalmi won their first title in 2017 against Quetta Gladiators. Almost all matches were played in UAE, but the Final was played in Pakistan for the first time in PSL history. PCB planned to change venues back to home instead of UAE in a few years. The Captain of Peshawar Zalmi, Darren Sammy, was the man of the final match, and Kamran Akmal achieved the man of the series award. Kamran was also the team’s highest run-scorer, while Wahab Riaz was the most lethal bowler in their arsenal.

PSL 2016 Winner
The great history of the Pakistan Super League started in 2016, and these moments were amazing in the history of Pakistani cricket. It was the first time a tournament like this was introduced in Pakistan’s cricket scene, and Islamabad United won the 1st season of PSL in 2016 under the Captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq. United players delivered when it mattered the most, and they won the crucial matches in this season.
In the batting lineup, Dwayne Smith and Brad Haddin were the batters who impacted the team. Among the bowlers, Andre Russel was the highest wicket-taker of the first season. He took 3 wickets in the final and, overall, 16 wickets in 10 matches.
