Allocation of Match Points
- Every match is allocated with 2 points for the winning team
- If a match is tied, the teams will play a super over for a victory decision
- If a match is abandoned without results, each team will have 1 point as an award.
- The Net Run Rate is determined by considering both the number of runs a team has scored and the number they conceded during matches. It helps to determine how effectively a team has performed relative to their opponents regarding run-scoring and prevention.

Number of Matches in League Stage
In the Pakistan Super League, every team will play a total of 10 matches in the whole season and 30 matches between 6 teams. According to the performance and the rankings top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs and the remaining 2 teams with lower rankings on the PSL points table will be out of the tournament.
Play-offs of HBL PSL 9 2024
The top 4 qualified teams for the PSL 9 playoffs, there will be 3 matches between 4 teams. First is the qualifier and the other two matches are for eliminators, the winner of the qualifier will play the final and the loser of the qualifier will play eliminator 2 with the winner of eliminator 1.
